| Trolleybus 1201. EXV 201. was one of the 'K' class which entered service
in 1939. 1201 spent its working life in Stamford Hill depot, mostly working
on the 649 route from Stamford Hill to Liverpool Street Station.
After withdrawal 1201 was sold off and used as a store in a garage in Holland Park. The exterior near side and rear were painted grey including the tyres. In August 1968 she was purchased by the London Trolleybus Preservation Society. It took eleven years to restore to fully working order. After a spell at Sandtoft, 1201 can now be seen at and ridden on in the East Anglia Transport Museum. |

| 1201 on the turning circle at Carlton Coleville, looking splendid,
a far cry from the sorry sight at the top of the page. It could almost
be laying over at an outer terminus on London service all those years ago.
