National Tramway Museum


At the car park stop is Chesterfield car 7, built in 1904, and was withdrawn from service when the system closed in 1927. This car was used as a holiday home, and a permanent residence, being cut in two for the purpose before being rescued. The cost of restoration, £250.000.

Seen outside the museums Red Lion Hotel is Blackpool car 40 built in1924, it arrived at the musem in October 1963. Seen on at wet Sunday 9 June 2002.

At the Town End Terminus is Leeds car 180, built in 1931, it arrived in the museum in February 1960. Another picture taken on a wet Sunday 9 June 2002.

At Wakebridge is Leeds car 399, it was built in 1926 and came to the museum in August 1959. Seen here on 13 June 2002.
